Praised for her “silken grace” and “brilliant command” (The Strad), American violinist Stella Chen first gained international recognition as the winner of the 2019 Queen Elizabeth International Violin Competition, then won the 2023 Gramophone award for Young Artist of the Year for her debut album. Recent highlights include concerto debuts with the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, and Minnesota orchestras, and an American tour with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, including a performance at Carnegie Hall and appearances across Europe at the Vienna Musikverein, Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam, and the Berlin Philharmonic. She’ll be joined by “quietly powerful pianist" (The New York Times) Gilles Vonsattel for a Cliburn Concerts debut that is sure to impress.
