With a few strokes of a keyboard, individuals and/or organizations can launch a cyber-attack from anywhere, at any time, damaging critical infrastructures and disrupting business. Losses (including those from data breaches) can be astronomical. Additionally, many of the costs associated with responding to a cyber attack are not covered by general liability insurance.
Bridge Partners Consulting, in conjunction with the Fort Worth Chamber, is hosting a by-invitation only Executive Work Session where you'll learn more about forecasting and minimizing financial losses associated with a cyber-attack, State level compliance requirements, identifying specific cyber threats, sound approaches to risk modeling, sufficient, properly-priced insurance protection, and sources and types of hostile Cyber-attacks in today’s perilous geo-political environment that are directly impacting our government entities and private market places and more. A panel of experts will address the issue of how companies should think about cyber risk in order to build the most resilient cyber security strategy. They will present a case study to illustrate elements of real cyber attacks across different industry sectors to demonstrate the long term costs of allowing different views of risk to persist across an organization.
Panel members are:
Dr. Jeff Starr - former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, former Senior Advisor for Combating Terrorism, former VP of Business Intelligence at Goldman Sachs, and current member of the Secretary of Defense’s Threat Reduction Advisory Committee.
Dr. Craig Schultz - former Vice President of Software Product Management at Risk Management Solutions (RMS), and the founder of the Department of Defense’s counter threat finance analytics unit; former senior physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he led counter-threat R&D programs.
Mr. Gordon Matlock – former senior advisor to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, and former technology and policy advisor to a U.S. Senator, Congressman and Governor; former senior advisor at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) where he led multiple cyber initiatives.
Ms. Kristen Dauphinais – head of specialty insurance underwriter Beazley Group’s Dallas office, head of the Aggregated Initiatives team focused on the creation of technology, marketing and training platforms and tools; former Zonal Underwriting Manager for AIG where she led underwriting teams for professional liability, media and cyber products.
