April 4th Mentor: Martin Noto - President and CEO, First Financial Bank
Bio:
Martin Noto is the President/CEO of the Fort Worth Region for First Financial Bank. He has an extensive background in commercial banking with 35 years of experience in the banking industry. Before joining First Financial Bank in July 2015, he served as Regional Executive Vice President/Corporate Banking Manager of Origin Bank (formerly Community Trust Bank). Prior to his time at Origin Bank, he served as the Executive Vice President and Corporate Bank Manager for BBVA Compass Bank in Fort Worth.
Martin began his career with JP Morgan Chase Bank and experienced all sides of the banking industry. Before leaving he oversaw the approval process and credit quality of a $3.5 billion loan portfolio originated by 26 bankers in 8 offices located in the states of Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
He serves on the board of directors of the Fort Worth Symphony and Sixty & Better. He also serves on the board of directors and executive committee for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as its Vice Chairman. Martin serves on the board and executive committee for Downtown Fort Worth, Inc., and the Fort Worth Advisory Council of the Salvation Army. He currently serves as the Board Chairman of the Housing Channel (formerly Tarrant County Housing Partnership). Martin is a member of the Founder’s Council of the Greater Fort Worth Real Estate Council and previously served on the organization’s board of directors as its Treasurer.
Under his leadership, the Fort Worth Region of First Financial Bank was chosen the Top Financial Services Company by the Fort Worth Business Press in 2017 and “Best Companies to Work For in Fort Worth” by Fort Worth, Inc. magazine in 2018. Also, in 2018, Martin was named as one of “The 400” Most Influential People in Fort Worth by Fort Worth Inc. magazine.
Mr. Noto holds an M.B.A. in Finance and a B.B.A. in Marketing (Magna Cum Laude) both from the University of North Texas.
