Dickies Arena is a 14,000 seat, spectacular multipurpose venue located adjacent to the Will Rogers Memorial Center campus in Fort Worth, Texas. The arena is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by the not-for-profit operating entity, Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC).

 

Dickies Arena hosted 172 events in our last fiscal year and has been nominated for Arena of the year by both the Academy of Country Music and Pollstar Magazine in 2022 and 2023. The arena now ranks 2nd in gross ticket sales and attendance in Billboard Magazine’s Worldwide Boxscore Midyear chart among venues of similar size. Reports to: Assistant Parking Manager

Classification: Full-time

 

Job Description :

The Parking Administrative Assistant will work directly with the Assistant Parking Manager and Parking Services Manager, conducting administrative tasks as assigned. Preparing the draft schedule under the direction of the Assistant Parking Manager will be the Parking Administrative Assistant’s main role. In addition, the person will work directly with Parking Supervisor’s in finding replacement staff on a daily basis.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous parking and customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, as driving of golf carts and other vehicles are essential to the operation.
  • Basic computer skills required, including excel and word.
  • Ability to work extended shifts during Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo during January and February each year.

 

Essential Duties (Include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Prepare the draft schedule for Assistant Parking Manager’s review and approval every two weeks.
  • Input approved schedule into Payroll System every two weeks.
  • Attend weekly and bi-weekly event meetings at both Will Rogers Memorial Center and Dickies Arena.
  • Read all event manifests and event memos.
  • Meet weekly with Assistant Parking Manager to discuss scheduling needs for the operation.
  • On a daily basis, allocate events, gates, and work assignments into the payroll system.
  • Input missed time punches into the payroll system on a daily basis.
  • Assist employees with technical problems regarding clocking in and out and coordinating assistance from the Payroll Department.
  • Contact all staff to confirm shifts prior to events.
  • Contact staff to schedule replacement shifts per instructions from Supervisor or Assistant Parking Manager.
  • Staff the parking office at Western Heritage Garage.
  • Answer phone and email inquiries.
  • Issue parking validations and monthly parking credentials to customers.
  • Input monthly parker updates into access control and billing system.
  • Order office supplies as needed.
  • File data and organize records for storage.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Assistant Parking Manager and Parking Services Manager.

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to multi-task under time limits and with moderate to high pressure situations. Position requires constant attention to details and accuracy of specified standards including verifying financial data. This position requires employee to frequently work both independently or as part of a team. Position also requires being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, by being able to openly communicate with others.

 

Physical demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee will frequently operate a computer and other office devices such as calculators, telephones, copy machines, faxes and printers. Employee will constantly move about inside and outside various areas of the facility before/during/after events to interact with internal/external clients. Employee must constantly communicate via telephone, email and in-person with others and exchange accurate information. Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

 

Work environment:

The duties of this position are performed primarily indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The duties of the position often require the employee to travel across campus to complete certain duties. This position requires working weekends.
