In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Fort Worth Fire Department is hosting three open house events in October. Join us for some great food, tours of the station, a variety of fun activities for the entire family and breast cancer screenings. You can also make a mammogram appointment! Saturday, October 6 Station 3 – 4700 Ramey, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Fort Worth, TX 76105. Saturday, October 13 Station 17 – 212 E. Felix St. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Fort Worth, TX 76115. Saturday, October 20 Station 25 – 3801 N. Main St. 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Fort Worth, TX 76106. Financial assistance is available for eligible applicants through the Tarrant County Health Department Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCCP). Financialeligibility qualifications for a free screening mammogram: Must be at least 200% of the 2012 federal poverty level. Must bring ID, proof of income and proof of address (i.e., most recent utility bill). Must be age 40 or older with no breast concerns or issues. Must have a clinical breast exam prior to the screening mammogram. Clinical breast exams will be available through BCCCP.©2012
