Native Prairies Association of Texas and Coastal Prairie Partnership are hosting the 5th annual State of the Prairie conference Prairies in a Changing World at Fort Worth Botanic Garden in Fort Worth from May 29-31, 2014. This annual statewide conference highlights Texas’ native prairies & the people who preserve, restore & appreciate them. This year’s presenters will cover land management techniques such as prescribed burns, native wildflower & grass seeding, prairie wildlife conservation & management, pollinator management, restoration after energy production, bison ecology, and prairie teaching techniques; among many other topics.
Presentations and field experiences should interest private landowners, restorationists, biologists, landscape architecture professionals, educators and individuals working to conserve and rebuild prairies and their wildlife.
