Tuesday night, the Fort Worth City Council voted to suspend certain DEI initiatives in compliance with new federal directives. They also set in motion the creation of a small business development program to expand contracting opportunities for small businesses. As the leading voice for business in our city, the Fort Worth Chamber acknowledges the complexity of this policy decision and remains focused on the path ahead: ensuring our local business environment continues to thrive.
We were proud to stand alongside our colleagues at the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber and the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber during the City Council meeting. Together, we are committed to building a strong foundation for a new small business enterprise assistance program that ensures equitable access to opportunities across Fort Worth.
While the Fort Worth Chamber represents many of the region’s largest employers, the majority of our members are small businesses. These businesses are the backbone of our economy and a core part of the Chamber’s mission to foster business growth, retention, and long-term prosperity.
