GM FINANCIAL PARADE OF LIGHTS TO KICK-OFF HOLIDAY SEASON IN DOWNTOWN FORT WORTH FOR 42nd YEAR ON NOVEMBER 24

The GM Financial Parade of Lights will brighten up the streets of Downtown Fort Worth for its 42nd year at 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, marking the City of Fort Worth’s official kickoff to the holiday season. With a sold-out crowd expected for this year’s “Holiday Wishes”-themed parade, attendees are encouraged to purchase reserved “Street Seats,” which start at $15 for children and $17.50 for adults.

Year after year, North Texas-based nonprofit organizations, businesses, schools, art and cultural groups, and more have dazzled crowds with their expertly crafted floats, sparkling vintage cars, festive horse-drawn carriages, spirited marching bands, and carolers as they parade along the 1.59-mile route. Carrying on the long-standing tradition, this year's parade -- which is the largest illuminated parade in the state of Texas -- will conclude with a special appearance from Santa and Mrs. Claus on the specially designed, LED-lit, grand finale float.

Fort Worth’s hometown MLB baseball team and reigning World Series champions, the Texas Rangers, will serve as the parade’s Grand Marshal. Guided by their core values of teamwork, humility, respect, integrity, vision, and excellence, the Texas Rangers are committed to prioritizing their fans and aspire to become a leading destination for championships, entertainment, and hospitality while also fostering baseball's growth, contributing to their community, and establishing enduring relationships. On November 1, 2023, the Rangers won the World Series after defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games, achieving their first World Series championship in franchise history.

“The Texas Rangers organization is honored to serve as the Grand Marshal for the upcoming Parade of Lights in Downtown Fort Worth,” said Travis Dillon, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Texas Rangers. “We think of it as just a small token of appreciation for the unwavering support and love that the Fort Worth community has given us over the past six decades.“
