About Us

Texas Blockchain Council is Texas' largest digital asset and blockchain industry association on a mission to make Texas (and the US) the jurisdiction of choice for innovation in these domains. 450 members from 100 companies ranging from bitcoin miners, insurance, legal, enterprise blockchain, web3, investment, real estate and more comprise membership.
TBC was behind two successful bills from the 88th session; HB 1666, a proof of reserve bill that requires cryptocurrency exchanges operating in Texas with over 50K users to submit an attestation of reserves on a quarterly basis. HB 591 removes the severance tax from formerly flared gas if used to power a bitcoin mining center. The city of Fort Worth, under Mayor Mattie Parker, became the first and only city to mine bitcoin.
Education of the general public as well as policymakers is integral to the success of proposed legislation. TBC hosts events throughout Texas for networking and learning purposes.
Each year in November, the community comes together at the North American Blockchain Summit. This year will be hosted at the Fort Worth Convention Center on November 15-17. Come join us to learn more about the political landscape of digital assets, blockchain and the future of finance.
Workshops will be hosted on day one for seven industry verticals; accounting, bitcoin mining, legal, energy and power for landmen, banking, and enterprise blockchain. Day two and three will feature premier speakers, Andrew Yang, Caitlyn Long and Senator Lummis.
